Saturday was a blast.........literally. The launch was well attended and a lot of fun!
We had a full range of attendees! Flyers included children, hobbyists and Born Again Rocketeers, as well as Level 1 and 2 candidates and SLI teams from Fisk University, the University of Alabama-Huntsville, Georgia Tech and the Hart County Kentucky 4H program.
Individual and university team flyers attending the mandatory safety briefing.
Two teams prepare their rockets for ground tests of deployment charges.
Saturday was a busy day for flying. There were a total of 42 flights. 24 flights were low power (A - G) motors and 18 flights were high power. There were also at least 6 certification attempts (NAR and Tripoli). There was even one spectacular N motor launch that unfortunately ended in the woods!
